As societies are facing many and huge challenges (social, environmental) design thinking should go beyond fulfilling user needs to also intervening in larger systems. That’s why many of the strategies presented here are imbibing elements of systems thinking. This allows the designer to go beyond the analysis of individual parts to see the larger environment of relations that the problem is part of. We think that in order to be a good design thinker one also must be a systems thinker!
